College of Business Holds Admission Ceremony for New Business Majors

The College of Business hosted its first Admission Ceremony for newly admitted business majors.  The ceremony recognizes this achievement and imparts what is expected from students as they continue their education in business and prepare for their professional careers. More than sixty students were welcomed into the College of Business on Friday, September 15, 2017, in conjunction with UMW’s Family Weekend.  Parents and loved ones, along with College of Business faculty were in attendance at the event. Acting Dean Ken Machande served as the emcee of the event.

The ceremony highlighted the Legacy of the College of Business and the student’s contribution to its principles. UMW business administration alumnus Dan Clendenin ’07 and current business administration major Caroline Mosberg spoke to the students as they were formally inducted into the College of Business.
