Spring 2025
This trip is open to students taking MKTG 370. Students from all majors are welcome!
You will learn about how flora, fauna, and terrain are marketed with an emphasis on animal tourism. You will also learn how ecotourism differs from normal tourism with its focus on conservation and sustainability. Then we will take a road trip to practice and observe ecotourism in Connecticut and Maine (including Arcadia National Park). In the trip, you will actively engage in ecotourism and then reflect upon your experiences in a journal (a template will be provided with specific questions for each group activity).
The course will meet the second eight-weeks of Spring 2025 on Monday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:45 PM.
The trip is scheduled for May 11 (the Sunday after graduation) through May 18, 2025.
