MKTG 471: Ecotourism – Trip to Maine

 

Acadia National Park

 

This page is for students of the Spring 2022 MTKG 471: Ecotourism course, which will be visiting Maine during the Spring semester.  Future students of this course will have the opportunity to visit a different destination as part of this course.

White water rafting on the Dead River

The Spring 2022 trip will:

  • Take place between May 8 and May 15
  • Include lodging, group activities, and breakfast at the locations.  If funds permit, will cover more meals, but this is not guaranteed

Students:

  • Will be able to bring a carry-on and one bag (learn to travel light!)
  • Are responsible for transportation to/from UMW, other meals, souvenirs, other activities and  and travel during free time

Estimated itinerary:  Acadia National Park, moose watching, white water rafting on the Dead River, and more!

Spring 2022 Students:  The total cost for this trip is $1999 per student, with a deposit of $500 due no later than March 11, and the remaining balance of $1499 due on or by April 5.
