MKTG 471: Ecotourism – Trip to Colorado

Rocky Mountain National Park

 

This page is for students of the Fall 2021 MTKG 471: Ecotourism course, which will be visiting Colorado during winter break.  Spring 2022 students will have the opportunity to visit a different destination as part of this course.

Wolves at the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center

The Winter 2021 will:

  • 7-8 days, somewhere between December 27 and January 9
  • Include round-trip airfare, lodging, group activities, and breakfast at the locations.  If funds permit, will cover more meals, but this is not guaranteed

Students:

  •  Will be able to bring a carryon and one bag (learn to travel light!)
  • Are responsible for transportation to/from DC airport, other meals, souvenirs, other activities and travel during free time, and overweight luggage fees

If trip costs less than estimated, UMW will refund difference.

Estimated itinerary:  Grand Sand Dunes National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Denver Botanical Gardens, Pike’s Peak, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, will have free time in Denver

Fall 2021 Students: In order to pay the remaining balance for the Winter 2021 Trip, please click the link below.  Please note: Online payees have the choice of either credit card or eCheck payment.  Credit card payments will incur a 2.75% service fee.  There is no service charge for eCheck payments.

The deadline to make the full payment of $2,000 (the balance remaining after your $500 deposit) is Monday, November 29.
