College of Business Alum Selected for Future 40 Class of 2019

Abbas Haider

Every year Maverick PAC recognizes conservative young professionals across the United States that they believe embody the next generation of leadership in the public and private sector.  This year, UMW College of Business alum Abbas Haider (Class of 2012) was selected for this honor.  During his time at UMW, Abbas founded Aspetto, a multi-million dollar international bullet-resistant clothing line, which outfits such federal agencies as the Department of State, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Despite his busy schedule, Abbas serves as a member of the COB Executive Advisory Board, and was awarded the Young Business Alumni Award at the 2018 COB Alumni Awards.  He also serves as a mentor to those starting out on their own entrepreneurial journey through various speaking events, including TEDx, Forbes Summit, and OPEN DC.
