Pat Filippone

Pat is the President of 7th Inning Stretch.  The company owns and operates three minor league baseball teams – the Stockton Ports (California League affiliate of the Oakland Athletics), the Delmarva Shorebirds (South Atlantic League affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles), and the Everett AquaSox (Northwest League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners).

Pat is a veteran of 29 seasons in professional baseball with a proven track record of success. His passion for the game and exposing what the game has to offer to local communities drives him each day.  The mantra of 7th Inning Stretch is to increase each team’s presence in their local communities, be a corporate leader in local initiatives and youth sports, develop committed and capable employees, and to provide an abundance of opportunity for affordable entertainment at our venues.

Pat began his career in January 1991 with the Prince William Cannons of the Carolina League in Sales and Operations.  He was promoted to General Manager in January of 1993.  He remained with Prince William until September 1998 when he became the Vice President/General Manager of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League.  In September of 2003 Pat became the President of the Fresno Grizzlies of the Pacific Coast League where he remained until joining 7th Inning Stretch in July 2006. Since joining 7th Inning Stretch Pat oversaw the purchases of the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Everett AquaSox.  He is a three time recipient of Executive of the Year awards during his career.

Pat is a founding board member of Minor League Baseball Enterprises – the marketing and business development initiative of Minor League Baseball.

Pat received a B.S. in Business Administration from Mary Washington College in 1988.  His wife Wendy is also a 1988 graduate of Mary Washington College.  His daughter Kelly is a 2019 graduate of the University of Missouri.  Pat and Wendy currently reside in Stockton, California.
