Graduate Programs Admission Policy
New Graduate Admission requirements were also approved by the COB faculty on March 9, 2011. They go into effect in the 2011-2012 academic year. They are as follows:
1) Must hold a Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
2) Successful applicants will ordinarily have earned a 3.25 GPA in their undergraduate studies.
3) For non-native English speakers a TOEFL score of 570 (230 computer based/88 internet based), or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 or better on the academic exam is required.
4) Applicants must submit:
|An official application for admission,|
|An official transcript from each college or university attended.|
|Official GMAT scores(GRE, MCAT or LSAT may be considered in lieu of the GMAT), taken within the last five years.|
|If applicable, official TOEFL or IELTS scores taken in the last two years.|
|Three letters of recommendation (ideally, one should be from an employer or former employer, and one should be from a faculty member who the applicant has studied with previously),|
|A resume (a maximum of two pages),|
|One essay on why you want to pursue an advanced degree. The essay should demonstrate your ability to communicate well and be at least 250 words, but no more than two pages.|
|Two full years of post-baccalaureate employment is recommended.|
|Application due date for fall admission is April 1, and for spring admission is October 1.|
Accepted applicants may request that enrollment be deferred for up to one year. Each case is considered on an individual basis. Those granted deferred enrollment are subject t the rules, regulations, and financial charges in effect when the actually enroll. Students who enroll at another institution before enrolling at the College of Business must reapply.
