The annual “Meet the Accounting Firms” event was held Wednesday, September 14 in Woodard Hall, new home of the College of Business. Co-hosted by the College of Business and Career for Career and Professional Development, the yearly event aims to bring together potential employers and current accounting students. Nine firms and organizations from the Fredericksburg and DC areas were in attendance and met with students individually to offer information on internships and employment.
Participating firms included: Becker, Bowling, Franklin and Company, Department of Defense, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Foltz and Associates, Kositzka Wicks & Company, KPMG, PB Mares, and Thompson Greenspon.
Almost fifty College of Business students attended the “Meet the Accounting Firms” event. Dean Lynne Richardson was joined by Assistant Dean Ken Machande, Professor Robert Frackleton, and Andrea Cordray from the College of Business. Kyle Danzey from the Center for Career for Professional Development was also in attendance.
